|A letter by Carol Suzuki
The “Father of Mushrooms”
1955 - He was the first person to make mushroom cultivation possible in Taiwan. He was so successful that his products are recognized for having helped drive Taiwan’s economy to the world platform.
1965 - He developed the very valuable “Silver Ear Mushroom” (White Fungus), which at one time was only served in the Royal Palace. His work eventually made this prized fungus more affordable and common for everyone’s benefit.
1968 - He successfully cultivated mushrooms from frigid climates to grow in Taiwan’s tropical climate. His high-volume mushroom farming technology created countless jobs for farmers and workers; and consumers benefitted by the much lower prices. In addition, the products could be enjoyed with confidence since they were 100% safe, unlike some of those found in the wild.
1973 - He was the first one to perfect the cultivation process of the highly sought-after “Antler-shaped Reishi”, a major breakthrough that allowed him to supply the tremendous demand.
1979 - He completed development of the very important new mushroom, Coriolus Verscisolor (Yun Chih), which contains high levels of PS-K, which has been proven to enhance immunity. Also known as “Turkey Tail” because of it’s shape, it has been successful in combating cancers in many patients.
1983 - Another new mushroom – Hericium Dictyophora, or “Hou Shen Mo” was introduced by him. Also known as “Monkey Head”, it was immediately recognized for its effectiveness for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
1997 - He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the World Bio-Scientists at the University of Toronto, Canada
1999 - He was recognized as an Honored Doctor by the Taiwan Economic Development and Research Academy for his contribution to Taiwan’s economy, and contributions to enriching human life for all people of the world.
Through the years, there have been countless awards that our products have received, and thousands of people who have survived debilitating illnesses such as cancer by taking our products. We are grateful and honored, but also realize that as long as there is disease and suffering in the world, our work is never finished. Our staff of hundreds works day and night to make sure our customers get the best quality products.
I’ve heard my father say on many occasions, “If my talent and techniques can benefit even one person’s life, I will endeavor to accomplish it”. If our miracle medicinal Reishi can improve your life in some way, that will be our finest reward. In fact, it’s our family’s mission.
You may wonder why we chose the name, “Genius” for our company. Actually, it seemed very appropriate. You see, my father’s Chinese name – Tien Tsai, means “Genius”. Perhaps my grandfather could foresee his son’s destiny of passionate dedication. With his life’s work touching the lives of tens of thousands of people, he truly is a man of Genius! Now you know why I’m so proud of him, my dearest father – Mr. Tien Tsai Lin!
